I gravitate toward subjects that help calm my nervous system & to calm me during upheaval in my life. In December 2022 I had exams to face & the almost death of my horse. So, I painted this piece thinking of a beautiful spring day in England when I came across this Japanese sculpture garden which temporarily lightened my emotional state & helped me focus on not only my work but my mental health.
