This piece was inspired by the sites on Monhegan Island this past fall, 2022. I instantly knew I would paint this tangled mess of well worn buoys & thick sea rope. I grew up five minutes walk to Mudeford Beach, England. Seagulls, lobster pots, buoys, & catching then releasing crabs was a part of my childhood. Monheghan had that feeling of home to me.
